Think Railways

Belarusian Railways received EUR 160,000 EU funding for International technical assistance project "Improvement of express passenger service between Vilnius and Minsk", included in the Cross Border Cooperation Programme "Lithuania-Latvia-Belarus" (European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument 2007 - 2013). The partners in this project are Lithuanian Railways and Belarusian Railways and the total value of the project is EUR 1.o8 million.

The funding will be used to purchase and install GSM-R terminals on 34 locomotives to service Vilnius - Minsk route . The equipment will be provided by Belarusian company OJSC "AGAT-SYSTEM".
