Belarusian Railways has in plan a new container train service from the port of Gdansk (Poland) to the container terminal Kolyadichi (Belarus), as well as from the port of Gdansk via Belarus to CIS countries and China.

In order to find out transporter's interest in the project, as well as to improve the quality of the transportation and logistics services and to set optimal tariff conditions, Belarusian Railways invites companies to take part in the survey available on its website. In 2014, the transshipment of cargo through the Port of Gdansk was 32.3 million tonnes, up 6.6% from 2013.
