Russian airport express operator, Aeroexpress plans to build a railway terminal at Moscow Domodedovo Airport, Russia’s largest airport. Transmashholding’s Bryansk Engineering Plant has started the 5,000 km operational trials of the new 2TE25КМ mainline freight locomotive. The new 2TE25KM can haul heavier trains and has lower operation costs, due to the improved engine capacity and increased adhesion weight. The locomotive is fitted with a pre-crash system, air conditioning system and independent heater to offer additional heating. The driver’s cab also offers better comfort and improved sound and vibration insulation, due to the cushioning materials used.
