Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang discussed in Davos, Switzerland, about the construction of the Belgrade-Budapest railway line and agreed on deadlines for the project.
The feasibility study will be completed by the end of April, preliminary design until mid-June, and the construction works will begin at the end of September at the latest.
Keqiang and Vucic promised that Chinese companies, with the support of Serbian and Hungarian companies, will build the railway in only two years, which means that as of the second half of 2017, citizens of Serbia will be able reach Hungary’s capital in less than three hours.
