Estonia: Elron plans to purchase new trains

The Estonian state-owned railway passenger operator Elron plans to purchase five-car train sets to operate on Tallinn-Tartu route. The value of the new order is estimated at EUR 30 million.
"As has previously been discussed, our vision shows that we would need at least three more trains," Elron's Chairman of the Board Andrus Ossip said after a meeting on Tuesday with Economy and Infrastructure Minister Kristen Michal.
A final decision in regarding the purchase will be taken by the end of June. The new fleet could be delivered in 2018.
