The fleet of Russian RAIL1520 rolling stock leasing company, part of United Wagon Company (UVC) has exceeded 20,000 freight cars. Established in 2011, RAIL1520 has become one of the largest rolling stock leasing companies in the 1520 gauge area.

About 60% of RAIL1520 rolling stock fleet is formed of units with improved technical and economic characteristics, equipped with the Barber bogies. Car increased load capacity, reduced costs for empty run and enhanced distance run between overhauls, allow decreasing the transportation cost per 1 ton of load and service maintenance costs of wagons, reducing the required fleet and optimizing its turnover. A wide network of more than 30 service centers and spare part depots provides the maintenance of wagons.

The growing interest of large industrial companies and railway freight operators  for  innovative rolling stock provides up to 30% growth of new generation wagons, in total sales of car-building works of Russia and the CIS, compared to the same period last year. Large manufacturing companies like SUEK, En+, Acron Grou, and Uralkali transport their products by rail in innovative cars. The demand for cars with improved capacity is growing in grain market as well.

In 2015, RAIL1520 plans to increase the  freight cars fleet, in particular by introducing brand new models designed in compliance with customer preferences and freight market demand.
