German Initiative for HSL in Russia
The German-Russian Chamber of Commerce (AHK) in Moscow launched the Initiative for the encouragement of German companies in HSL development projects in Russia.
"Deutsche Bahn has gained experience in high-speed transport for over 20 years. With this know-how, we would like to support our Russian partners", said Niko Warbanoff, Head of International Business Development (non-EU) of Deutsche Bahn AG.
The German Initiative for HSR in Russia is actively supported in particular by the Siemens AG, which is a long-standing and trusted partner of the Russian Railways RZD and also has already delivered the first eight Russian high speed trains of the brand Sapsan to Russia.
"German companies have the know-how and expertise to provide all services necessary for the planning and development of the high-speed rail network "said Jochen Eickholt, CEO of Siemens Rail Systems.
The initiative was already joined by: Deutsche Bahn AG, DB International GmbH, Emch + Berger Holding GmbH, ETC Transport Consultants GmbH, OBERMEYER Planen + Beraten GmbH, RAIL.ONE GmbH, Schüßler Plan Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH, Siemens AG, Vössing GmbH and Vossloh AG.
