German Initiative for High Speed Railways in Russia and the Union of Railway Constructors signed MoU
The German Initiative for High Speed Railways in Russia and the Russian Union of Railway Constructors (SSDZ) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) setting forth collaboration in the area of modernization and construction of new railway lines, construction technology & materials transfer, harmonization of Russian and European standards and regulations in the railway sector. The document was signed during InnoTrans, at the international conference “Railway Engineering: Partnership of 1520 and 1435 Rail Gauge Manufacturers”.
In the framework of the same conference The German Initiative for High Speed Railways in Russia has also signed a MoU with The Research and Production Centre of Informational and Transport systems (RPC INFOTRANS) for cooperation in developing Russia’s high-speed rail, including track geometry measurement on RZD test areas and their analysis.
The German Initiative for High Speed Railways in Russia, funded under the patronage of the German Chamber of Foreign Trade in Moscow, includes the following compamies: Siemens, Deutsche Bahn, Deutsche Bank, STRABAG, ETC Transport Consultants, PORR, Kapsch CarrierCom, Vössing, Vossloh, RAIL.ONE and Schüssler-Plan.
