LDZ:Rail passenger infrastructure upgrade, passenger information & CCTV system installation, monitoring & contract management tender

In order to improve rail passenger service quality and efficiency in Riga and outside the capital city, Latvian Railway (LDz)  plans to modernise 16 railway stations, in the framework of the project Rail passenger infrastructure upgrade / passenger information & CCTV system installation - monitoring & contract management. This will ensure the sustainable operation of the railway Riga urban and suburban public transport system and, at the same time, reduced environmental pollution. This project also received the support of the Latvian government, being declared of national interest.

The project provides for the construction of elevated passenger platforms, as well as information and security system installation in the following stations: „Zolitūde”, „Imanta”, „Babīte”, „Bulduri”, „Dzintari”, „Vaivari”, „Pumpuri”, „Melluži”, „Asari”, „Lielupe”, „Majori”, „Dubulti”, „Sloka”, „Olaine”, „Jelgava” and „Cukurfabrika”  It includes: design&construction, design and installation of  information and CCTV systems in the selected stations, as well as supervision of works services.

The proposed projects will certainly increase the number of passengers who choose to travel by train. ", declared Anrijs Matīss  Minister of Transport.
