PKP Polish Railway Lines signs contract for Warszawa Gdańska railway station upgrade

PKP Polish Railway Lines (PKP PLK) and  Trakcja PRKiI -  ZUE - Comsa consortium have signed a PLN 43 million contract for the upgrade of the rail infrastructure in the area of the Warszawa Gdańska railway station.

The contract involves delivery of design documentation and construction works within the Warszawa Gdańska railway station.

The works include redevelopment of 8 km of railway tracks along with the development of 19 railroad switches and 10 km of a new overhead line system. The task also involves assembly of the control-command and signalling system as well as power supply, telecommunications and technical equipment, the drainage system, upgrade of 2 civil engineering facilities and construction of a new platform, which will be combined with an existing pedestrian underground passage.

The expected completion date is 21 December 2015.
