Russian airport express operator Aeroexpress reported a net profit of RUB 1,599,000,000 and revenues of RUB 6,311,000,000 (+20% increase) for 2014.

Over 19.7 million passengers traveled with Aeroexpress in 2014, including Moscow, Kazan, and Vladivostok routes and the commuter route to the town of Lobnya, thus making up to an increase in passenger flow of more than 30% over the last three years. Last year, the company’s market share for intermodal transportation within the Moscow Air Cluster reached 25.46%. The total passenger traffic to the three Moscow airports came to 16.6 million people.

"One of the key decisions made in 2014 was the termination of our operation in the regions, which was primarily caused by the unprofitableness of these routes. Nevertheless, this fact gives us the opportunity to focus our efforts on the operation in the metropolitan area and strengthen Aeroexpress’ positions in the intermodal transportation market," commented Alexey Krivoruchko, Chief Executive Officer of Aeroexpress.

“The company’s challenges for 2015 are such important goals and targets as the introduction of innovative solutions in services and transportation, total increase in passenger traffic, as well as expansion of the offered fares. Particular attention will be paid to the support of families and socially disadvantaged groups,” he added.
