Russia: Chinese companies to build railway infrastructure in Vladivostok agglomeration

The Ussuriysk Railway Ring will connect cities of Primorsky Territory, region in the Russian Far East, in an attempt to develop the transport infrastructure in Vladivostok agglomeration. The plan envisage the construction of 67 km of elevated railway and six railway stations.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development, negotiations with Chinese companies are currently taking place on the construction contract and works for the 160km/h railway line will be launched next year. The line is expected to be operational starting with 2020.
