RZD Trading Company and Voestalpine Schienen GmbH signed a memorandum of understanding  for the supply of R65 rails for 1520 mm gauge , made of  made of bainitic steel. The document was signed at the InnoTrans 2014 by RZD Trading Company Director Kirill Voronin and Voestalpine Managing Director Stefan Glanz.

Voestalpine Schienen will deliver rails for tests and performance evaluation free of charge.

Rails made of bainitic steel are characterised by high resistance to wear and are designed to sustain heavy loads. According to RZD no similar products are available on the domestic market.
