Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) will purchase 485 new freight wagons from Žos Trnava, Slovakia. The order value is approximately EUR 41 million.

The new freight wagons are an important prerequisite for the SBB to cope with the increasing construction and maintenance activities on the rail network. Types of wagons included:

• 70 twin-axle hopper wagons;
• 140 bogie hopper wagons;
• 50 tipping wagons with high sides;
• 25 tipping wagons with low sides;
• 50 bogie sleeper wagons;
• 150 twin-axle wagons

Deliveries will start in May 2015 and are due to end by 2016.
