Serbian Railways, China Railway Corporation and MAV sign memorandum on Belgrade-Budapest railway feasibility study
Serbian Railways, China Railway Corporation and Hungarian Railways (MAV) have signed a memorandum of understanding on the feasibility study for the modernisation of Belgrade - Budapest railway line.
The document is in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation signed by the three countries and refers to the a project plan of the feasibility study.
According to the MoU, the Hungarian and Serbian parties will carry out reports for a feasibility study, and will submit them to the Chinese side by latest 15th of April. A general feasibility report for Belgrade - Budapest railway line drafted by Chinese specialists is expected by the end of June. In parallel with the feasibility study a preliminary design will also be prepared.
