Stadler Minsk starts the production of double-deck trains for Aeroexpress

Stadler Rail Group rolling stock plant in Fanipol (Belarus) is in the final stage of construction. The company has started the production of double-deck trains for Moscow's  Aeroexpresss at the plant in Stadler Altenrhein (Switzerland). 

In Fanipol plant,  four carriages have been already manufactured, the first double-deck trains produced in Belarus.

Stadler Minsk («Stadler Minsk") is also in charge of commissioning the new rolling stock. Certification and acceptance tests will be carried out at in the suburban ring VNIIZhT Sherbinka. The first train is expected enter commercial operation in  June 2015. By May 2016, Stadler shall deliver 118 railcars, according to the basic contract (16 4-railcar and 9 6-railcar train sets). Later on, a total of 4 railcars will be supplied according to an option.

Aeroexpress and Stadler Rail Group have signed the EUR 350 million contract for the delivery of double-deck rolling stock ins May 2013.
