Technical assistance project for Metro Line 5 in Ho Chi Minh City approved

The Prime Minister of Vietnam has approved the technical assistance project preparation for Metro Line No.5 construction in Ho Chi Minh City. Financing for the first stage of the project to build a 8.8 km section is provided by the Asian Development Bank ($500 million), the EIB ($199 million), and Spain ($265.5 million).
The technical assistance project will conduct a feasibility study and will carry out an analysis of HCM City’s traffic management and planning, according to local press.
The project will be carried out until November 2017 with an investment of $840,000.
