Trakcja PRKiI won the tender for modernisation works on Warsaw Okecie – Czachowek railway section

PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe selected Trakcja PRKiI SA to provide modernisation works on Warsaw Okecie - Czachówek section (27 km), part of  Warsaw - Radom railway line. The contractor submitted a bid of  376 million 199 thousand. zł (excl. TAX) and to proposed to carry out the work within 20 months. The rail infrastructure will be renovated and adjusted to handle trains travelling at speeds of up to 160 km/h.

The project  “Modernisation of Railway Line No. 8, section: Warsaw Okecie-Radom" has been divided into several contracts. The first contract related to the design and instalallion of a rail traffic control system is under implementation, the contractor already started working in Radom East station.

"It is our intention to sign the contract for Radom station modernisation works, as soon as possible. The segment from Czachówka to Warka will be upgraded in 20 months. Radom station will be renovated within 12 months. For the modernization of Warka - Radom section we plan to use EU 2014-2020 funding" declared Maciej Dutkiewicz, a press representative of PKP PLK.

Trakcja PRKiI SA, formerly Trakcja SA, is a Poland-based company engaged in the rail transport infrastructure construction. The Company's main business consists of modernization of the rail and tram tracks, including inter alia the earth works related to construction of the roadbed and reconstruction of the engineering objects; construction and modernization of the traction networks and their power supply; construction of power engineering systems and remote control systems for traction power supply, and the construction for railway infrastructure including traction substation buildings.

In 2013, the  Trakcja PRKiI group companies signed railway infrastructure development contracts worth more than EUR 150 million.
