Tulpar-Talgo factory to start producing 3200 mm wide-body railcars

In 2015, Tulpar-Talgo factory will reach full capacity production, creating 366 new jobs. The company plans to manufacture 153 passenger coaches and to launch the project the production of 600 passenger coaches - 3200 mm wide-body, instead of 2950 mm (21 trains between 2016 -2019).
In 2013, Patentes Talgo and its local joint venture Tulpar-Talgo have been awarded a contract worth EUR 482m to supply 603 long-distance coaches to Passazhirskie Perevozki (PP), passengers operations subsidiary of Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ). Earlier in 2012 Talgo already signed a EUR 989 million agreement for providing maintenance services to Kazakhstan’s new fleet of train cars for the next 15 years.
