AŽD Praha Co. has signed  a EUR 3.2 million contract for delivery and installation of signalling equipment for high-speed railway depot Ankara in Turkey. Turkish State Railways (TCDD) awarded the tender for Ankara depot signalling project to a consortium formed of two Turkish companies Gülermak – Kolin joint venture. AŽD Praha subsequently signed the contract with this company as its main subcontractor for signalling equipment.

The project includes design, manufacture, delivery, installation, testing and putting into operation of complete signalling system for the safe railway traffic at this depot.
„Good knowledge of Turkish market which requires most up to date technologies and tailor made solution, stands behind this success of AZD Praha. The negotiations about the price were hard but we managed to come to a reasonable compromise profitable for both parties”,  says the Commercial Export Director of AŽD Praha, Ing. Petr Žatecký. “From our previous projects in Turkey we know that Turkish market is very exacting and therefore we are glad that we have succeeded with our own technical solution which meets the highest European demands for safe railway operation SIL-4.”, he added.
The works on the project will start still this year and the whole work should be completed till the end of year 2015.
