Polish infrastructure construction company ZUE SA has signed a letter of intent to acquire a 70% stake in ThyssenKrupp's rail technology company Railway GfT Poland.

The proposed acquisition will enable the Group ZUE, to continue, through Railway GfT Poland, the commercial activities in the field of construction and renovation of tramway and railway tracks, carried out in Poland by ThyssenKrupp GfT Poland.

In September 2014, ThyssenKrupp announced its intention to cease its railway infrastructure commercial activities in Poland. Railway GfT Poland was created as a new entity, based in Krakow.  The company carries out its activities to the same extent as ThyssenKrupp GfT Poland - continuing to supply rails, sleepers and accessories.
