The Managing Authority for the Sectoral Operational Programme – Transport (SOPT) 2007 – 2013 and CFR SA, Romania’s railway infrastructure state owned manager, signed a financing agreement for the project “Rehabilitation works for bridges, culverts and railway tunnels – CF Craiova Regional Branch”.

The project has a total budget of RON 97.6 million (EUR 22 million), of which RON 60 million are financed by the European Union European Regional Development Fund, under the Sectoral Operational Programme “Transport” 2007-2013.

The contract includes works for the infrastructure and superstructure rehabilitation/reconstruction of eight bridges and seven culverts  located in Arges, Dolj, Gorj County, Olt and Sibiu counties.

Works will be carried out between October 2014 – October 2016, according to the project implementation schedule.
