Kazakhstan to invest over EUR 445 million in developing transport and logistics centers
More than KZT 110 billion ( EUR 445 million) will be invested in the development of transport and logistics centers in Kazakhstan, informed the Vice President for logistics of the JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Temir Joly, Kanat Alpysbayev.
"The total amount of investments in the development of transport - logistics centers (TLC) across the country will be more than KZT 110 billion. In the first place, it is the construction of so-called dry port, as well as the infrastructure for logistics area, which will form the main terminal work," Kanat Alpysbayev said.
According to Alpysbayev, the start-up project on the construction of Astana and Shymkent terminals will be completed before the end of the year, with the achievement of the planned production capacity in the first quarter of 2014. The two terminals will be the hubs of terminals in the regional centers and will create the necessary logistical infrastructure for storage and processing of goods.
