RZD International launches modernisation works on Serbia’s Ruma-Golubinci railway section

RZD International has started reconstruction and modernisation works on Ruma-Golubinci railway section, part of Corridor 10. The project is financed under Annex 2 of the Russian loan and is set for completion deadline on September 11, 2015.
The total value of works for the norther part of Corridor 10, including Ruma – Golubinci (17.9 km), Sopot Kosmajski – Kovačevac (18.4 km) and Velika Plana - Mala Krsna (29.5 km) railway sections reaches USD 48,7 million.
Modernisation works will will increase speeds from 30 km/h at the moment to 120km/h.
